Draw The Line Tshirts

Inspiration

We're bored of celebrating the work of big names. Often when we think of influential figures throughout history, our minds drift to the Florence Nightingales or Einsteins.

Therefore, to boost further awareness of some badass women we think have been wrongly overlooked...

We have decided to name our t-shirts after them!

Marsha P. Johnson 1945-1992

A badass, transgender activist, model and drag queen. She spent her life fighting for the LGBTQ+ liberation movement; including having a significant role in the Stonewall inn riots which sparked the creation of Pride. Despite having mental health issues and being homeless for much of her life, she never stopped fighting for the equal rights the LGBTQ+ community has today.

Lilian Ngoyi 1911-1980

A key figure of the anti-apartheid movement. As Secretary General of the ANC Women's League and the first female elected into the African National Congress (ANC), Lilian would be the voice that empowered and mobilised South African women to fight against apartheid. She saw the need to break the limitations that the apartheid laws placed on black women. She fought for the mothers whose children were denied a future and the women who were denied basic human rights. Despite for years being confined to her house under house arrest, she never stopped fighting.
